3 Wishes

September 15, 2007 / by soultrawler

If you could have 3 wishes fulfilled in your life, what would they be?  For me, I'd love to have my health back, but I guess I might even trade that wish for these:  the ability to draw really well---especially portraits (I have a little bit of artistic talent from my father and my maternal grandma, but it is too microscopic to count:  it would require years of tedious practice to develop into genuine proficiency, and I'd rather use that time for actually producing something tangible, like clothes or dolls or even kaleidos); the ability to write like Rick Bragg, Skyeblue, Bailey White, or Fguden; and the ability to play the piano like Liberace or Horowitz.  I would be a millionnaire!

Oh get outta here!! I never had anybody say that before, for good reason--haha!
I wish I had my health back too..I would love to be able to walk without walking sticks and work in my yard etc. What's to be done? Just keep going, what else is there? [OHMY]

[SMILE] Been a LONNNNG time since I've heard "Oh, git outta here!" But no, really, I could probably hack this health condition better if I had those 3 talents to distract me and at the same time allow me to contribute better, ya know?

From your writing and descriptions of your life, Skye, I'd have never guessed you have to use walking sticks. No fun! But I can just imagine you being like my German grandmother: once she got a cane (really bad knee arthritis)? She walked 10x as fast as she had before she had the problems. She always reminded me of a hermit crab scuttling around in a tidepool. [LOL]

I would like to be sixteen again (and knowing what I know now) and then I would have my health back, buy some Microsoft stock and retire.

16? I'd even settle for 40, after which I started withering like a faded gardenia. [SMILE] But you're absolutely right about investing in Microsoft. Definitely a keeper!
