Is Your Telephone Sacred Enough?

August 14, 2007 / by soultrawler

You'll recall that in 3-4 recent posts, hilarious gratuitous Google ads here on site regaled me.  A couple had to do with ringtones.  Well, bear with me one more time, bec. this beats all:

You've heard of holy shrines, holy men, holy books, holy vessels, holy garments.  But holy ringtones?  So, pray tell, if my phone just drones the old tuneless, generic "brrrrinnnnng," are we saying this is too profane?  Does even my telephone have to be "christianized"?  (Could someone please provide me with the pertinent Scripture verse?)  And the ringtone is supposed to be uplifting?  In other words, my old generic one is depressing?  Ach, no wonder everybody needs Paxil or Prozac nowadays:  their ringtones are too plain & prosaic!

Next thing you know, you'll be required to install Christian doorbells, and Christian horns on your car, and Christian windchimes, and....

Christianitis:  Heaven help us all!
