A Retro-moment

November 8, 2007 / by soultrawler

Bear with me as I momentarily indulge in the luxury of reverting to one of my early blog-addictions, namely, snickering @ on-site ads:

So I'm wondering:  first, who'd wanna buy mites?  Or is it a variation of buying crickets to feed to your lizard?  Second, why are they called mites when they have absolutely NO strength?  Mite that be a misnomer? ;)  3rd, who'd have the chutzbah to CHARGE for something that you can get for free in your backyard?  Is there absolutely NO limit to the commodification of life?

Why or who would be looking for mites? [LOL][LOL]
    What is a mite anyway?

Well, an acarologist mite be found ferreting them out. And I suppose for birds, they mite qualify as "jimmies" (like you sprinkle on cookies or ice cream). [LOL]

Your other question prompted the next post here, where you'll also find photos of some mites.
